On May 9 at the Rossosh Central Common Grave a solemn laying ceremony dedicated to the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was held.
Representatives of district and city administrations, state and municipal institutions, work collectives of enterprises and public organizations, law enforcement agencies, veteran communities, servicemen, members of Yunarmiya and families with children came to pay tribute to the heroism of the Soviet people.
Traditionally, the event was attended by employees of JSC MINUDOBRENIYA headed by the Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization V. A. Slautin and the Head of the Department of Social Development and Internal Communications O.V. Demchenko.
Welcoming speeches were addressed to the attendees by Head of the Rossoshanskiy District Administration Y.V. Mishankov, Head of the District V.M. Sisyuk, Head of the Rossosh City Administration V.A. Kobylkin, Head of the City A.G. Zagranichnova, Dean of the Rossoshanskiy church District Priest V. Gaikov, Deputy Commander of the Motor Battalion Major A.D. Kist, Chairman of the District Council of Veterans of War, Labour, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement agencies N.P. Karionov.
All the speakers particularly emphasized the symbolic significance which the Victory Day has acquired these days during the Special Military Operation.
On behalf of the younger generation of Rossosh the pupils of the Secondary General School No. 2 E. Chudnov and M. Makienko made a speech.
The attendees observed a minute of silence in memory of soldiers who died at the fronts of The Great Patriotic War.
The ceremony was concluded with the wreath-laying at the monument base.
The plant workers will never forget those who stepped into the flame of war with great devotion to the Motherland and strong willingness to give their life for it.
